Congratulations to Kim Marsh, the new principal of Pequea Elementary School, effective July 1.
Kim will replace Dr. Shirley Murray, who will take over as principal at Manor Middle School upon the retirement of Dr. Dana Edwards.
Kim currently is an assistant principal at Penn Manor High School, a position she’s held since 2015. She joined the high school staff in 2003 as a learning support English teacher before moving to the role of school counselor in 2009.
“I am incredibly grateful for my time at the high school and will miss the students, staff, and families I’ve had the privilege of working with,” Marsh said. “However, I’m excited to step into my new role as the Pequea Elementary Principal and look forward to this new opportunity.”
Kim graduated from Millersville University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education in 2003. She earned her master’s degree in education with a certification in school counseling from MU in 2008.
In 2014, Kim earned her school administration certification from Alvernia University.
“Kim has done great work for the past 20 years at Penn Manor High School as a learning support teacher, counselor, and assistant principal,” said superintendent Dr. Phil Gale. “I am very proud of the professional growth Kim has made over the years and am excited for her to have this opportunity. Kim brings excitement, energy and passion to our students.”
Kim lives in Willow Street with her husband, Steve, and three sons Chase, Landon and Maverick, all of whom attend Penn Manor schools.
Congratulations to Kim, and best wishes in your new position!
