Hundreds of Penn Manor High School students gave their college and career plans a jump start by attending the 32nd annual Education Day/College and Career Expo, held November 4 in the high school gym.
More than 100 colleges, universities, trade schools, businesses and the military participated, providing information and brochures (plus some nifty swag) to students over two hours.
More businesses than ever were represented this year, and many of them were offering information about internships, mentorships and jobs that students can step into even before they finish high school.
Prior to attending the event, students were asked to research the list of participating schools, organizations and companies and pick five questions to ask representatives. Students and staff also collaborated to make a video detailing the “do’s and dont’s” of attending a career fair.
Many thanks to our counseling department and the many colleges, universities, businesses and organizations that made this event possible for our students.
